Below is a guide on how to update the RogōExamSys.

- Put your site in maintenance mode.
- Your site administrator should be able to advise on the best way to do this at your organisation.
- You may wish to use the inbuilt maintenance mode.
- Backup current Rogō ExamSys root directory.
- Download and unpack the latest version of Rogō ExamSys into your web root directory.
- Copy config/config.inc.php from bakup backup into the new rogo ExamSys directory.
Data direcotries directories -

If your Rogō ExamSys data direcotry directory is within the webserver directory you will need to copy the following direcotry directory from your backup to your new Rogō ExamSys directory:
- /media
- /users/photos
- /email_templates
- /theme
- /help/staff/images **
- /help/student/images **
- /qti/imports
- /qti/exports
** only if you have not been contributing back help images back to the Rogō ExamSys open source project.
- In a browser navigate to the /updates path of Rogō ExamSys.
- Rogō ExamSys will now check that your system meets some minumum minimum requirements:
- If any requirements are not met you will not be able to proceed with update until they are resolved.
- Once requirements are met you will be able to proceed to the update screen.
On the update screen you can set the following upgrade options:

DB Password Password for above user. Update Staff Help If enabled this will refresh the staff help database with the new version from the Rogō the ExamSys open source project. Enabled Update Student Help If enabled this will refresh the student help database with the new version from the Rogō ExamSys open source project. Enabled Download all translation packs If enabled this will download and install all available langauge language pack for Rogō ExamSys from http://rogo-oss.nottingham.ac.uk/langpacks/ Disabled Once updated, a log of the process will be shown highlighting any issues.
If the update was succesful successful (no fatal errors) you will be given the option to navigate to the configuration screen to complete more advanced settings.
