Folders specification

  1. A folder may only have 1 owner

  2. Sub folders will always have the same owner as it’s parent folder

  3. The owner may be one of the following types: personal (the user who created it), module (a module the user has access to), school (a school that the user is an admin for)

Personal folders

Before ExamSys 7.7.0 this was the only type of folder in ExamSys

The owner may:

  • create

  • edit

  • delete

  • add sub folders

  • add papers to the folders

Users who are part of teams that the personal folder is shared with may:

  • view the folder

  • attach papers from the module to the folder

The following types of users should see this folder on their homepage:

  • The owner

  • Members of module teams in the school(s) the folder is shared with

Module folders

Members of the owning module team, admins for the school of the owning module team, and system admins may:

  • create

  • edit

  • delete

  • add sub folders

  • add papers to the folders

The folder would not have any options to share further

The following types of users should see this folder on their homepage:

  • Admins for the owning school

  • Members of module teams in the school

School folders

Admins for the owning school, and system admins may:

  • create

  • edit

  • delete

  • add sub folders

  • add papers to the folders

Members of module teams in the school may:

  • view the folders

  • add papers to the folders

The folder would not have any options to share further
